California Hits a earth quake of about 6.4M before few mins. Reports had been confirmed.
The quake hit 163 miles SW of Avalon, Calif., around 2:36 a.m. PT., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. A 6.1-magnitude quake was reported a few seconds later, 88 miles SSW of Avalon.
Eyewitness News viewers across the Southland said they felt some shaking, including in Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Temecula and Long Beach.
No tsunami warning was immediately issued. There also were no reports of damage or injuries on the mainland.
